There are several reasons why a tooth needs to be extracted. Perhaps there's extreme decay or have fractured to the point that it can't be repaired. Tooth extraction might also be necessary if a tooth is impacted or will be causing spacing issues.
Types of Tooth Extraction
Performed when good amount of tooth structure is present above the gum line.
We have advanced instruments like periotome to have atraumatic extreactions.
Usually a flap (gum) reflection and/or sectioning of the tooth in question is/are required to remove it. In addition, small amount of bone around the root may also be removed to allow good access. E.g.Wisdom tooth removal
After the extraction, we'll provide you with post-extraction at-home instructions to help with your recovery.
When the nerve within the tooth is infected, for any reason, root canal therapy is necessary to remove the infected nerve and save the tooth from extraction. Typically, it will take one or more appointments to complete the procedure.
We do 99% of root canal by single sitting(visit).Great advances have been made in this area of specialization the world over and include the following techniques, which are used in our clinic:
State of the art gadgets & materials used in our clinic to provide SINGLE SITTING ROOT CANAL TREATMENTS
-Rotary protaper -->Rotary protaper (X-Smart)instrument for complete, precise & accurate cleaning and shaping of canals ensuring and providing excellent result and comfort.
-Apex locator-->Apex locator serves as an eye of the dentist inside the root canal. It is used to determine the exact location of the apical foramen (apex of the root) which otherwise is a blind procedure. A root canal treatment (RCT) done with the help an apex locator determines the perfect length of the canal and thereby ensures complete fill of the canal thus increasing the success rate of the Root Canal Treatment.
-Pulp tester-->for precise diagnosis of the tooth requiring R.C.T.
-Fiber optic handpiece--> for perfect coronal carious removal .
-Ultra advanced Kodak radiovisiography-(R.V.G.)-
to enhance the accuracy of imaging and reduce exposure to radiation
-The use of Mineral Trioxide Aggregate (MTA) as a retrograde end filling material
-The use of resin sealers
Saving your Teeth with Root Canal Treatment-:
Affected tooth is opened, then root canal is cleaned and shaped
Cleaning and shaping root canals-:
First, We will make an opening in affected tooth and will remove any fillings and decayed portion of tooth.use of apex-locator will exactly provide judgement regarding the working-length.Then we will remove unhealthy pulp with tiny, flexible, files. Using delicate, precise, most advanced and the most accurate rotary protaper instrument, we will gently clean and smoothen the canals to prepare them for the canal-filling materials.
Filling your root canals-:
After the pulp has been removed from root canals and they have been smoothened, the root canals will be filled. We will fill up canals with tiny cone-shaped pieces of gutta-percha, a firm, rubber like material. A sealer (medicated cement) is used to seal the filling material into place.
Gum disease is a very destructive disease that attacks not just the gums (the gingiva), but also the bone support around each tooth. Many people have straight teeth, no history of tooth decay, and yet still lose their teeth! This can be attributed to the aggressiveness of gingivitis, and is just one of the many reasons why visiting the dentist on a regular basis is so important.
If you notice any of the following signs or symptoms you more than likely are experiencing gingivitis:
Gums that bleed when you brush or floss
Gums that are very sore or tender to brushing or flossing
Gums that have changed in shape or texture
Gums that release pus
Bad breath or a bad taste in the mouth
Teeth that feel loose or have changed in the way that they fit together
Scaling and root planning, use of mouthwash, periodontal surgery, bone grafting, tissue regeneration procedure if required
(Scaling & Root Planning):
Ultrasonic teeth cleaning is done using in 1 to 2 sittings, this procedure removes stains and firm debris not only making the teeth cleaner but also makes your gums healthier. The procedure is often followed by through polishing of your teeth.
Performed in the presence of subgingival calculus build up and pocket depths of more than 3mm, due to bone loss. This procedure is strongly recommended to halt the progress of gum disease, which is the leading cause of tooth loss.
Soft (plaque) and hard build up (tartar, calculus) and stain on your teeth surfaces, above the gum will be removed prior to teeth polishing. This procedure is recommended to be done every six month.
Calculus build up on root surfaces will be removed and root surfaces will be planned (scraped) clean and smooth.
When infection inside gums can’t be cleaned superficially and radiographic study also suggest poor periodontal health we may have to open up gums by giving incision and have to curette infection and have to suture them up after the infection removal. These are known as flap surgeries.
Procedure-:The gum is gently separated from the tooth, creating a “flap” and access to the infected pocket. Deep deposits of plaque and tartar can then be removed. It also reduces the pocket and the areas where bacteria can grow. Little or no gum tissue is removed.
BEFORE - Tartar build-up
The gum is lifted away
The gum is anchored in place
AFTER - A healthy gumline
A crown is a tooth cap which covers the tooth to restore its shape, size, function and strength.
A crown is recommended in following situations-
1. To restore a large filling when there isn’t enough tooth structure remaining.
2. After a root canal treatment to prevent the tooth from fracture.
3. Placed on the top of dental implant to provide form, function and aesthetic of a natural tooth.
4. To restore the fractured tooth.
5. Can be used in smile makeover/smile designing cases.
6. To improve the appearance of a discoloured or poorly shaped tooth.
Types of dental crowns-
1. Porcelain fused to metal crowns
2. Captek crowns
3. All porcelain crowns
4. Zirconia crowns
5. CAD/CAM crowns
A tooth becomes more fragile and more likely to fracture when it becomes extremely decayed. If a fracture goes below the gum line, the tooth might not be recoverable. When a tooth gets to this level of decay, it is vital to seek treatment to prevent losing the tooth. One option that reinforces the tooth and sustains integrity is a crown.
A crown replaces and reinforces the top portion of a tooth.
To replace a missing tooth with a conventional 3-unit bridge, the teeth adjacent to the gaps are prepared
The custom-made bridge is fitted, adjusted, and permanently cemented into place.
A bridge is an alternative to a denture or dental implant. Instead of placing the replacement tooth directly to your jaw, it is attached to the teeth on the sides of the missing tooth.
IMPLANT SUPPORTED BRIDGES
whenever favourable we will give you the option of the best bridge-which is the implant supported bridge.
Removable dentures are another option to replace missing teeth.(most cheaper option of replacing missing tooth).
Replaced one or a few teeth in the same arch.
Replace all the teeth in the same arch.
Implant supported dentures
Fixed dentures supported by implants.
Received immediately after teeth extraction. Follow up adjustments are necessary as the gum heals. Reline is required after 4-6 months.

GUMMY SMILE OR UNEVEN GUM LINE
Do you feel your teeth look too short and your smile is too gummy or your gums cover too much of some teeth while leaving the others the right length? If so crown lengthening might be the solution for you. During this procedure, excess gum tissue is removed to expose more of the crown of the tooth. Then your gumline is sculpted to give your new smile just the right look.
LONG TEETH/EXPOSED ROOTS
Do you feel you look older than you really are? Sometimes gum recession causes the tooth root to become exposed, which makes your teeth look long and can make you look older than you are. This recession can happen as a result of a variety of causes, including periodontal diseases. Whatever the reason, exposed roots are unappealing and can leave you at risk of developing cavities on your tooth root.
Soft tissue grafts and other root coverage procedures are designed to cover exposed roots, to reduce further gum recession and to protect vulnerable roots from decay.
Are you starting to look like your grandmother because missing teeth are causing unappealing gaps in your smile? If, so dental implants might be the answer for you.Dental implants are a more natural looking option compared to dentures or bridges because implants look and feel just like your own teeth. They also allow you to speak and eat with comfort and confidence.During this procedure, an artificial tooth root is placed into your jaw, and after a healing period, an artificial tooth is attached to the root.

So now get ready to spice up your smile and get noticed in parties or any special occasion and be a star.
This is the procedure to bond jewellery to add sparcles to your smile.
Tooth loss can cause an indentation in the gums and jawbone where the tooth used to be. This happens because the jawbone recedes when it no longer is holding a tooth in place. Not only is this indention unnatural looking, it also causes the replacement tooth to look too long compared to the adjacent teeth.
Ridge augmentation can fill in this defect recapturing the natural contour of the gums and jaw. A new tooth can then be created that is natural looking, easy to clean and beautiful.
Oftentimes,We may use several different types of procedures to build a framework for your perfect smile.
